Because of PC much better than PMMA use in LED aluminum profile;

1,The impact strength of PC is 30-50 times that of PMMA (Complies with EN166 safety standards)
PMMA has high brittleness and is prone to cracking under impact

2, Temperature resistance
PC is more suitable for industrial environment
PC: long-term temperature resistance range -40℃~120℃
PMMA: Only resistant to about 80℃, easily deformed at high temperatures and brittle at low temperatures.

3, Light weight and strong;
PC density (1.2g/cm³) is slightly higher than acrylic (1.18g/cm³)
However, due to its high strength, it can be made thinner (such as 20% thinner while maintaining the same protection), reducing the overall weight of the mask.

4,Flame retardancy(Key safety advantage)
PC: Inherently flame retardant (UL94 V-2), can be modified to reach V-0, slowing down the burning rate
PMMA: flammable (UL94 HB grade), continues to burn and produces molten droplets when exposed to fire, high risk in industrial scenarios

5,Processing adaptability
PC: High injection molding precision, suitable for complex structures (such as aluminum slot frames with buckles);
bendable (minimum bending radius is about 100 times the thickness of the sheet) without whitening.
PMMA: Hot bending can easily generate internal stress, which may cause cracking later

Base on the above points, We recommend using PC diffuser.
